Kate Fernandez

Kate is a freshman pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Neuroscience, expected to graduate in 2021. She hopes to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering on topics in neural engineering and bioelectronics medicine. She wants to utilize neuromodulation technologies to improve and solve challenging neurological disorders facing patients in society. She is currently working with Gerardo on ultrasound stimulation technologies for treating hearing disorders.

 

 

Caitlin Brehmer

Caitlin is a senior at the University of Minnesota studying Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with minors in Spanish Studies and Neuroscience. After graduating, she is planning on pursuing a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology. She is currently working with Yezih on a human study testing mSync (neural beamforming neuromodulation) in tinnitus patients.

 

 

Elizabeth Batman

Ellie is a senior at the University of Minnesota studying Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with art and neuroscience minors. She plans to pursue a degree in speech-language pathology and become a licensed speech-language pathologist. She is currently working with Yezih on a human study testing mSync (neural beamforming neuromodulation) in tinnitus patients.


James Kerber

James is a sophomore pursuing a BS in Biomedical Engineering emphasizing in Neural Engineering and pursuing a minor in Neuroscience, expected to graduate in 2020. He hopes to pursue a MS in Biomedical Engineering and further develop his knowledge and skills in neural engineering. He is currently working with John on developing ultrasound stimulation technologies for treating hearing disorders and also has interests to apply these approaches to pain treatment.
